Emerald Lakes

Tongariro Crossing is often listed on the lists of world’s best treks and I completely understand why that is. This trek is unforgettable. And different people have different reasons they never forget this place.

I will always remember it, because this is where I got engaged.

I will always remember it, because I forgot to clip my toenails the day before, so it hurt like crazy when I was going down on the way back. And there was lots of going down.

I will always remember it, because of the Emerald Lakes. They are the highlight of this trek and possibly the most amazing mountain view I have ever seen.
