View from the Acropolis

July 2010. Athens, Greece.

View from the Acropolis. Photography blog.

It’s official – I love Greece! I spent only two nights over there, both of them in Athens, but I love the whole country anyway. Some friends who had been to Athens warned me the city was ugly, dirty and just not very pleasant, but in my eyes it was magnificent. Maybe it was because I had spent the previous week in chaotic and at times overwhelming Delhi, or maybe it was because Athens has changed over the last few years. I loved the architecture, I loved the history, I loved the food. But it was when – after climbing to the top of Acropolis Hill – I saw this panorama of Athens, that I decided that it was probably my favorite European city.

I surely will be back to see the rest of amazing Greece.
